We have recently purchased a home that came with a ventless propane fireplace.

I have also read on these forums that ventless fireplaces are not all that safe.
Is there any way to convert either of these vent free to a vented or are there any other cost effective solutions available to them other than replacing either.
If you have a universal unvented firebox with unvented logs where the firebox and logs are a la carte you could re use the logs in a wood burning vented fireplace.
