Special connectors are used to secure conduit to boxes and to join lengths of conduit together to form long straight runs or bends.

You must stub out toilets water lines and electrical conduit as well as main utility lines that enter the building from below the foundation and rise up into the building. Conduit always terminates at some type of electrical box or at fixed equipment that also serves as a box. I ran it in conduit and made sure to space the electrical outlets to enable fut. Ridged nonmetallic pvc conduit is the right material for this job because it is watertight inexpensive and easy to work with.
